How do you deal with a 14 y.o. that fights with you in every way, phys. verbal. criminal?
Step son 14years old, completely disrespectful to every one. Has drawn me into a phyical fight, has stolen a vehical, refuses to talk to professional, refuses to take any responability for anything. Biological father in prison, lack of money doesn't help the stess factor. Mother and I have tried church, doctors, school activities, nothing is working and it is tearing our family apart.
Tell him the next time he causes a serious disruption, he's going to juvenile detention. Sorry, but tough love may be the only way to make this kid wake up. Just call the cops and press charges appropriately.
